The 80s was truly a great era. Loved the music and movies. There is nothing I like more than driving back to my hometown after work, listening to my favourite 80s songs.

Bandung & Jakarta Trip Oct 2012
Nevertheless, it was fun and I enjoyed it, especially the shopping :) One thing we could not do was go to the safari - we got caught in a terrible traffic jam and it was raining like mad :(
Was so looking forward to the trip. Left LCCT on Oct 30, 2012.
It was a sad day actually. On 29th morning, my mother woke me up from sleep at about 8.30pm and told me that my favourite uncle had passed away and that we must go for his funeral in KLuang, Johor. So we did and the funeral was held the next day. After the funeral, we had to rush back to KL, dropped my baby at in laws, rush to Banting to drop my nephew and then sped to LCCT. We arrived in time but was told out flight was delayed for an hour :(
Anyway, because of the an hour delay, we could not make it in time for the local bus to reach Bandung and had to hire a car. I think it cost us about RM250 to drop us at out hotel (Pop Hotel, Bandung)
I really loved this hotel. Memang sesuai for budget traveller. I think it was for RM68 with breakfast for two people. We booked through agoda.com This is our 'ride' in town. We went to Pasar Baru first. Check out the food on street and clothes. Mostly it was the leggings and jeggings. We had a fantastic Padang dinner. And after lunch, went on full swing into shopping mode :) Had Texas Chicken in between shopping And out total shopping for the day :) :) end of DAY 1

Chocolate chip cookies (just thought of sharing)
Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 12 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature 1 cup packed brown sugar 3/4 cup sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips
Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt into a bowl and set aside. 3. In a stand mixer, cream the butter and the two sugars. 4. Scrape down the bowl. 5. Beat the eggs and vanilla in a small bowl. 6. Add this to the butter mixture and blend well. 7. Add the flour mixture until just mixed. 8. Add the chocolate chips. 9. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, about 2 inches apart. 10. Cook for about 10 minutes. 11. The center of the cookies will appear to be slightly underbaked- Do not overcook or the cookies will be crispy instead of chewy. 12. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes on the cookie sheet and then move to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
