Total Time: 1 hrs 5 mins Prep Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 12 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature 1 cup packed brown sugar 3/4 cup sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips

Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt into a bowl and set aside. 3. In a stand mixer, cream the butter and the two sugars. 4. Scrape down the bowl. 5. Beat the eggs and vanilla in a small bowl. 6. Add this to the butter mixture and blend well. 7. Add the flour mixture until just mixed. 8. Add the chocolate chips. 9. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, about 2 inches apart. 10. Cook for about 10 minutes. 11. The center of the cookies will appear to be slightly underbaked- Do not overcook or the cookies will be crispy instead of chewy. 12. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes on the cookie sheet and then move to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
